Getting Started

How does the Illuvials rental system work?

RattyData offers custom Illuvial rental agreements tailored to your tournament needs. Here's the basic flow:

  • Contact via Discord: Reach out to @BonDaddyRatty to discuss your Illuvial needs
  • Negotiate Terms: We'll agree on rental terms (deposit, flat fee, commission, or a combination)
  • Submit Request: Fill out the rental request form with your selected Illuvials
  • Payment: Pay the agreed-upon deposit and/or flat fee
  • Receive Illuvials: Once payment is verified, Illuvials are transferred to your wallet
  • Tournament Time: Use the Illuvials in your tournament
  • Return & Settle: Return Illuvials, report winnings, pay any commission, and receive your deposit refund

Who can rent Illuvials from RattyData?

Anyone in the Illuvium community can rent! Whether you're a competitive tournament player or just want to try different Illuvials, we offer flexible rental agreements.

New renters typically start with deposit-based agreements, while trusted community members may qualify for reduced or no-deposit terms.

How do I get in touch to start renting?

Contact @BonDaddyRatty in the Illuvium Discord to discuss your rental needs. We'll work out custom terms based on:

  • How many Illuvials you need (up to 50 max)
  • Tournament details and duration
  • Your rental history and reputation
  • Preferred payment structure (deposit, flat fee, commission, or mix)

What's the maximum number of Illuvials I can rent?

You can rent anywhere from - a single Illuvial to a fully bundled, 206-Illuvial team (including 2 lynxes). This allows you to rent a complete tournament-ready roster or experiment with smaller, more focused team compositions.

Payments & Deposits

How much does it cost to rent Illuvials?

Rental costs are negotiated on a case-by-case basis depending on your specific needs. There is no fixed pricing structure.

Payment structures may include:

  • Deposit only: Refundable security deposit (partial or full refund based on agreement)
  • Flat fee: One-time rental fee regardless of tournament outcome
  • Commission: Percentage of tournament winnings
  • Hybrid: Combination of deposit + flat fee + commission
  • No deposit: Available for trusted renters with proven track records

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept cryptocurrency payments via:

  • Immutable X (Layer 2): Instant, low-fee transfers using IMX Passport
  • Ethereum (Layer 1): Standard ETH transfers to our wallet address

After payment, you'll submit your transaction hash for verification. Once confirmed, your rental will be activated and Illuvials transferred to your wallet.

When do I get my deposit back?

Deposit refunds are processed after you've completed the full rental cycle:

  • Return all rented Illuvials to the admin wallet
  • Report tournament winnings (if applicable)
  • Pay any agreed-upon commission on winnings
  • Admin verifies all Illuvials returned and marks rental as complete

The refund amount depends on your specific rental agreement. Some agreements offer full deposit refunds, others partial (e.g., 50% back if no tournament winnings), and some may count deposits toward commission.

What happens if I don't win anything in the tournament?

This depends on your rental agreement terms:

  • Commission-only agreements: No additional fees, just return the Illuvials and get your full deposit back
  • Flat fee agreements: The flat fee is kept regardless of outcome, but you'll receive your deposit refund as agreed
  • Partial refund agreements: You might receive a percentage of your deposit back (commonly 50-75%) even with no winnings

Tournaments & Winnings

Do I have to pay commission on tournament winnings?

Commission on winnings is only charged if your rental agreement includes it. Commission structures vary by renter and are negotiated upfront.

Common arrangements include:

  • No commission (flat fee or deposit-only rentals)
  • Percentage commission (typically 5-30% of winnings)
  • Commission with deposit credit (your deposit counts toward the commission owed)

You'll know exactly what you owe before submitting your rental request.

How do I report my tournament winnings?

After your tournament concludes:

  • Log into your Renter Panel at rattydata.com
  • Find your active rental request
  • Enter the amount you won in USD in the "Tournament Winnings" field
  • If your agreement includes commission, you'll see the commission amount calculated automatically
  • Submit payment for any commission owed

Honesty is crucial here - be accurate with your winnings reporting to maintain trust and qualify for future favorable rental terms.

What if I win big? Do I owe a huge commission?

Commission is always calculated as a percentage of your winnings, negotiated upfront. Typical rates range from 5-30%, meaning you keep 70-95% of what you earn.

For example, if you agreed to a 10% commission and win $5,000:

  • Commission owed: $500
  • You keep: $4,500

Some agreements also allow your deposit to count toward commission, reducing the amount owed.

Returns & Completion

How do I return the Illuvials after the tournament?

Returning Illuvials is easy using the RattyData platform:

  • Go to your Renter Panel
  • Find your active rental and click "Return Illuvials"
  • This opens the Batch Transfer tool with your rented Illuvials automatically pre-selected and ready to return
  • Connect your IMX Passport wallet if not already connected
  • Verify all rented Illuvials are selected (if not, try clicking the "Return Illuvials" link again and ensure your wallet is connected)
  • Click "Transfer" to send all Illuvials back to the admin wallet in one transaction
  • Once the admin confirms receipt, your rental is marked complete and deposits are processed

What happens if I return the Illuvials late?

Rental periods are flexible and discussed during the initial agreement. If you need extra time, just communicate with @BonDaddyRatty in Discord.

Most rental agreements don't have hard deadlines since we work on a trust basis. However, intentionally delaying returns or ghosting after a tournament may affect your ability to rent in the future.

What if I accidentally send Illuvials to the wrong address?

Always use the "Return Illuvials" button in your Renter Panel - it automatically sets the correct admin wallet address.

If you've already sent to the wrong address:

  • Contact @BonDaddyRatty immediately in Discord
  • Provide the transaction hash and wallet address you sent to
  • If you sent to your own address or one you control, you can re-transfer to:

  • If sent to an unknown address, NFT recovery may not be possible

Using the platform's built-in return tool prevents these issues entirely.

Do I get penalized if I don't win the tournament?

No! There are no penalties for losing or not placing in tournaments. The rental system is designed to give you the freedom to compete without additional downside risk.

Your obligations are simple:

  • Return all rented Illuvials
  • Pay any agreed-upon flat fees
  • Pay commission only if you actually won something

Your deposit refund terms are pre-negotiated and honored regardless of tournament performance.

Troubleshooting

I submitted a payment but it's not showing as verified. What do I do?

Payment verification is done manually by the admin. If your payment isn't showing as verified after a reasonable time:

  • Double-check that you submitted the correct transaction hash in your Renter Panel
  • Verify the transaction went through on Etherscan or Immutable X Explorer
  • Make sure you sent to the correct wallet address (L1 or L2)
  • Contact @BonDaddyRatty in Discord with your transaction hash

Most verifications happen within a few hours, but may take longer during busy periods.

The "Return Illuvials" button isn't working. Help!

If you're having issues with the return process:

  • Make sure you're logged in: Connect your IMX Passport wallet at the top of the page
  • Check your wallet: Confirm you still have the rented Illuvials in your connected wallet
  • Try refreshing: Reload the page and reconnect your wallet
  • Browser issues: Try a different browser or clear your cache
  • Manual transfer: If all else fails, you can manually transfer via Illuvidex or Token Trove to:

I can't see my rental request in the Renter Panel

Make sure you're logged in with the same wallet address you used to submit the rental request.

The Renter Panel only shows requests associated with your connected wallet. If you submitted with one wallet but connected with another, you won't see your rentals.

If you're using the correct wallet and still don't see anything, contact @BonDaddyRatty in Discord.

My rental status is stuck on "Pending Approval" for a long time

Rental approvals are processed manually. If your request has been pending for more than 24-48 hours:

  • You might not have contacted @BonDaddyRatty in Discord first to negotiate terms
  • The admin may be waiting for you to provide additional tournament details
  • There may be availability issues with specific Illuvials you requested

Always reach out in Discord to discuss your rental before or immediately after submitting the form.
